Without a doubt, each of you has your own way of washing your hair. Until recently, I thought that everyone was washing their hair the same way, but recently I started browsing articles on the Internet and I found out that it is not that simple.
Have you noticed that each time you come out from a salon, the hair looks amazing? Of course, I’m not talking about a situation when the stylist ruined your hairdo. When the hairdresser washes the hair, there is no dandruff, which appears from time to time, and the hair does not get oily for a long time, although it has a tendency to do so. I go to different hairdressers and I do not believe that for those few seconds, during which my hair is dry, they managed to determine its type and problem, and then they chose the right cosmetics. Then I thought about it: perhaps it’s not a matter of hair care products, maybe it’s just a matter of washing technique!
I threw in the search engine “how to wash my hair” and it turned there are lots of articles about it! I learned that the hair should be washed in lukewarm water with a small amount of shampoo and that the scalp should not be touched in order to prevent oiliness. I also read that my hair should be washed gently; rubbing is not recommended. It turned out that all my life I made so many mistakes when it comes to this seemingly simple activity which is washing my hair. That’s why I decided to follow the instructions found on the Internet.
Next evening I wash my hair in lukewarm water and…almost froze to death. I spread two drops of shampoo over my hair and avoided the scalp area. The product did not lather, but I thought that’s the way it should be. Of course, I also remembered that the hair should be washed gently. Just in case, I repeated the procedure twice.
When I woke up the next morning, I was pleased with the effect: the hair seemed to be thoroughly washed and it was not flat. I took a shower, did my makeup, had breakfast. When the time for hair styling came, I noticed something horrible. The hair was completely greasy at the roots! I was already running late and had no time to wash it once again so I just tied it in a ponytail and went to work. On my way to the office, I promised myself that I’ll never follow any beauty tips found online.
That evening I washed my hair the old way: in warm water, with no restrictions on the amount of shampoo and the strength I wanted. Of course, I did not omit the scalp. The next day the hair was impeccable!
And how do you wash your hair?
