Dry and split hair ends bother lots of women. You destroy them with regular colouring, heat styling, wrong brushing and mismatched products. Can you do away with the problem?
Don’t wash your hair every day
As it turns out, washing hair daily isn’t so good, especially with strongly cleansing SLS shampoos. The substance leaves you with dry scalp and dull and brittle hair. Why don’t you give up washing hair sometimes and use a dry shampoo or wear a ponytail instead? If you’ve noticed splitting tips, try out moisturising masks and conditioners. Silicone-infused, smoothing and protecting products come in useful, too.
With a brush & comb
Your hair accessories must go with your hair type. Choose between natural-bristle brushes or combs that have different lengths of teeth. The brushing technique is very important, too. Begin with hair ends and move upwards. If your hair’s thick and dense, pick a wide-tooth comb.
Choose the right products
Protect hair ends with suitable cosmetics. Use masks, conditioners or oils for hair hydration, smoothness and shine. Try out masks that will free the scalp from sebum, dandruff and dead skin cells. Remember that healthy bulbs and scalp equal healthy and beautiful hair.
Protect against heat
A high temp is the biggest enemy of your hair. Blow-dryers, curlers and flat irons can lead to the permanent hair damage. As a result, hair loses its natural shine, it’s dry, coarse, frizzy and static. Any solutions? Apply a heat protection product before every styling routine. As a finishing touch, use a shine-boosting and smoothing cosmetic. Oils work best for this task.
