I Try Hair Heat Protectant Sprays That You Recommended!

I finally got round to writing the reviews that I promised some time ago. I’ll share ‘backstage’ of my tests of the best heat protection sprays for hair. It took me a long time but remember that I’ve tried several different products that you recommended. Keep reading to see what they do and check out the winning spray for thermal protection.

How did I test the heat protection sprays?

Without a doubt, I’ve tested them painstakingly, taking many factors into account:

  • price, size, efficiency
  • strength of protection
  • formula and nourishing ingredients
  • if it eases hair styling routine
  • how my hair looks like after all day wear
  • if it has a beautifying effect

Best Heat Protection Sprays for Hair

heat protectant spray nanoil

Nanoil Heat Protectant Spray

Rating: +++++

www.nanoil.us

My review: I didn’t know Nanoil’s products before but they turn out to be a popular choice among hair-care buffs. The reviews from users speak for themselves. The Nanoil heat protection spray proves a success no matter which factor I consider so great thanks to all those of you who have told me about this gem. Nanoil Heat Protectant Spray has an attractive price, excellent quality, amazing scent, is efficient, and, what’s most important, brings wonderful benefits for hair – not only protects but also nourishes and beautifies the hair. My hair has never been so shiny and smooth. This spray makes it look its best and it stays perfectly moisturized. The formula is rich in silk proteins which have a nourishing and smoothing effect. A flawless hair product!

Balmain Thermal Protection Spray

Rating: ++++

My review: It’s costly but I let myself get carried away while buying some sprays for this ranking! As you can see, Nanoil – a more budget-friendly choice – is on top. When it comes to Balmain Thermal Protection Spray, I rate it for a really good blend of ingredients. Even though it’s rich in oils, it doesn’t leave the hair oily or feeling heavy, and protects it from high temps. It’s also a good protectant for the summer to shield against UVA/UVB rays. It leaves strands soft, smooth and smelling nice.

PHILIP B THERMAL PROTECTION SPRAY

Rating: ++++

My review: We’re moving to the world of professional products which are used at hair parlors. Not just you but also my hairdresser recommended this spray. Well, I have mixed feelings about it. I think it’s better for thick and heavy hair, not fragile strands like mine. Naturally, it’s good for protecting against heat but it doesn’t add shine, costs a lot and has a surprisingly small size. I like the formula, though. It’s rich in amino acids, botanical extracts, vitamin E and castor bean oil.

Moroccanoil Color Complete Spray

Rating: +++

My review: Here’s another product that you either recommedend or asked if it’s worth buying. Well… Definitely the brand is popular and much talked about and used by hairdressers. However, I don’t think it’s the right choice for me. I believe it does better on very dry or extremely damaged strands. Mine got flat and greasy-looking as soon as I used it. Naturally, I didn’t like this effect and gave the product to my friend who’s got dry, bleached hair. I’ll add her review in a comment when she tries it. On my hairdo – it was a disaster.

Kérastase Genesis Défense Thermique

Rating: +++

My review: Maybe I shouldn’t complain because it does what it’s made for protecting against heat, however, I didn’t like what it did to my hair: it was hard to detangle and I didn’t spot any smoothing or shine-boosting effects. I think Kérastase Genesis Défense Thermique is overpriced. I’ve heard it’s supposed to prevent hair thinning but I can’t say because I don’t have such problems.

Has any of the above products caught your eye? Do you use any heat protectants on hair? Post a comment please!
