Hair Care for Beginners

Hi, girls!

I’ve prepared the article for the girls beginning their adventure with hair care. If you don’t know how to take care of your hair, it’s an excellent chance to catch up. Check the products I recommend and how I use them.

SHAMPOOS

Use delicate shampoos on a daily basis, and the ones with SLS once a week (they can weaken your hair and dehydrate the scalp). On the other hand, they’re great at cleansing the scalp by removing sebum, dandruff and dead skin cells. Shampoos with or without SLS must be mixed with a bit of water and massaged into the scalp. Remember to rinse it out with tepid water. L’Oreal Oleo Therapy Oil Infused Shampoo, Moroccanoil Moisture Repair Shampoo, Pantene Truly Relaxed Shampoo, Moroccanoil Clarifying Shampoo are the best shampoos I’ve used so far.

HAIR CONDITIONERS

They’re most useful when you want to deeply nourish your hair and scalp. How do I use hair conditioners? I apply a small amount to clean and damp hair, and rinse out after 10 minutes with tepid water. You can try out DIY conditioners. Mix a half cup of honey, a tablespoon of coconut oil and five drops of peppermint oil. Mix the ingredients well and heat them up. Cool the mixture down and apply it to hair. After more or less one hour, wash it off with a mild shampoo.

WASHING, BLOW-DRYING, HAIRSTYLING

These are very important things that influence the condition of your hair and scalp. Wash your hair using tepid water. Warm water can irritate the scalp and stimulate sebum production. Don’t rub your hair with a towel. Use a paper towel to squeeze out the excess of water. If you must blow-dry your hair, use a cool airflow and a heat protection product.
