Styling & Brushing Dry Hair. Is It Possible?

Hello, girls!

Dull, coarse, brittle and unmanageable. This is what dry hair is like. Is it possible to detangle and style such strands? Yes, it is, but only with the right haircare. Check what it should be like. Styling and brushing dry hair will be a piece of cake.

BRUSHES AND COMBS

You use them for brushing, they help you style a hairdo. Do you use them the right way? Buying brushes or combs made from natural and expensive materials is not enough. You must know which arrangement of bristles or teeth is suitable for dry hair and which brushing techniques to use. Preventing tangles is not the only purpose for brushing routine. While doing it, you spread sebum over your hair; it moisturises hair and seals cuticle scales.

If your hair is dry, use a wide-tooth comb; detangling damp strands and styling a hairdo will be troublefree. Metal or plastic brushes may damage hair surface or trigger static and frizz. That’s why you must use natural bristles. Remember also to brush hair in the direction of its growth.

STYLING

Don’t use devices that produce high temps. If you really have to, apply heat protection products first. Due to the heat, hair cuticles raise and keratin and water evaporate. You won’t expose hair to thinning, dryness and breakage if you use protective cosmetics; just don’t use alcohol-infused products. If you want to enjoy a healthy scalp, blow-dry hair with a cool airflow. It takes more time but your hairdo will keep strong and beautiful.

HAIRDRESSER COMES TO RESCUE

A hairstylist will surely help you care for dry hair. Trimming damaged hair ends, choosing the right repairing products, doing a moisturising treatment. After all, a professional hairdresser knows more about hair and scalp care than all hair maniacs. If your hairdo is really problematic, find a good specialist and let them save your damaged hair.
