How to Condition Hair? Products You Should Know

Hair is the attribute of all women. You take care of it every day, washing, brushing and styling. Which products do you use for the scalp care? Various shampoos are the most popular. Do you know how to use them the right way and what types they are divided into?

SHAMPOOS

They free hair and scalp from sweat, sebum, dead cells and cosmetic buildup. That’s why shampoos contain surface-active, washing substances. While beauty shopping, make sure a shampoo goes with your hair and scalp type. Some women pay attention to the scent, consistency and extra benefits: getting shine, smoothness, nutrients, regeneration.

Shampoos are composed of foaming agents, preservatives and ingredients that are responsible for the consistency. The most common components of shampoos: SLS (effective cleaning, works on the surface), Cocamidopropyl Betaine (soothes the working of the potentially irritative SLS), Cocamide DEA (coconut oil’s fatty acid derivative; cleans and intensifies lather) and Lauryl Glucoside (purifies and works on the scalp surface).

There are additional ingredients in shampoos. Their purpose is keeping the right consistency and making the application and rinsing easier. The examples of such ingredients: electrolytes, polymers and natural gums. Shampoos also include substances that ensure shine and pearl shade.

Types of hair shampoos

There are different types of shampoos: professional, 2in1, anti-dandruff, dry. Professional shampoos work for girls who want hair care aimed at specific scalp and hair problems. Another type of shampoos – apart from cleaning – nourish and condition the hair. They can also include ingredients similar to the ones found in masks and conditioners. Anti-dandruff shampoos help treat oily scalp and different types of dandruff. At the same time, they soothe irritations and inflammation. Dry shampoos keep hair fresh, lift roots and absorb sebum.
